Dark chocolate, sake and bluberries cake

Posted March 25, 2019 by Galit Hahn & filed under Uncategorized.

This cake is actualy more of a baked chocolate mousse. If you’re a serieus chocoholic, meaning the darker the better, this cake is really for you. The tangy, fruity taste of the blueberries cut through the richness of the chocolate and creates a perfect balance. If you use a stevia sweetened chocolate that this cake […]

Tahini Cranberries Cookies

Posted February 6, 2019 by Galit Hahn & filed under Uncategorized.

There is not much I can say about these cookies. I’ll let the taste talk for itself. Only that they are grain/ gluten/ dairy/ eggs/ refined sugars free and they literally take 10 minutes (or less) to make plus 10 minutes baking. They are moist and soft inside and crispy on the outside. These are […]

Krantz Wreath Cake

Posted December 23, 2018 by Galit Hahn & filed under Gluten free bakes.

I love cakes! There, I said it. Had I not been a ‘health freak’ and a nutritionist I’d probably become a chef pâtissier or something like that.  Knowing the effect of sugar, gluten and processed carbs keeps me away from those temptations but from time to time, in the name of good balance, I really […]

MY WEEKLY TIP

COOKING CRISIS

Staring at the open fridge

Staring at the open fridge

Have you ever found yourself staring at your open fridge or larder, scanning the products and ingredients and have absolutely no idea what to make with them, or what do you feel like eating?
And what if this situation repeats itself again and again over a period of time?
Well, you are experiencing a ‘cooking crisis’. It happens to the best of cooks!
Here are some key strategy solutions to over come the crisis:
1. Go back to basics, opt for the most simple recipes that always work.
2. Make a list of your all time favourites and stick to them for some time till you feel creativity is crawling back.
3. Focus on one ingredient you have or feel like eating and look for recipes using it as the main ingredient.
4. Think of what type of dish you feel like eating; soup, salad, burgers, pie etc. and look for a recipe for that.
5. Cook together with friends and family or initiate potluck dinners. Sharing cooking and eating with others can inspire you and boost your creativity in the kitchen.
