Say there is a spectrum for quality of food, where zero would equal the most highly processed, chemically loaded, nutritionally stripped and dead food, whilst ten would be the purest, organically and locally grown, super fresh and nutritionally dense vibrant food. Now try to visualise this spectrum and make an imprint of it in your mind.
Every time you are about to buy, order or prepare food, draw (pull) out this quality spectrum of yours and place the food you are about to eat on it. This will already tell you a lot. And now, try to see if you can upgrade your food one, two or more levels up. Make your food choices accordingly.
Example? Take hot chocolate, for instance. You have the shop bought version that is made from industrial sterilised cow milk, loaded with refined sugars, low quality highly processed cacao and many chemicals in the shape of flavour enhancers, thickeners and so on… Or, you can make it fresh from organic nut milk, pure organic cacao powder, natural sweeteners like honey or coconut nectar and add some natural organic vanilla essence. See where I’m going?
